So as you know I have moved to Colorado!
It has been a very exciting and new experience so far. I started my new job as the HR coordinator at Noodles & Company. So far so good everyone is really nice, and people are treating me like i am a big deal( sooo weird). Since I am a new employee, they make you do restaurant training for 5 days. I have done 3 so far and basically you have to do everything in the restaurant for a day. I was sooo nervous for this but it was actually much better than I was expecting.
Day 1- I prepped food and bussed peoples tables. I really liked this day, prepping food is fun you have to weigh everything out.
Day 2- I was suppose to saute and grill, thankful I just watched the saute station, but I did have to grill. I grilled like 40 pieces of chicken for peoples food. I also did some managerial work.
Day 3- I made salad and served food, I was terrified of serving food, but I did just fine. Making salads was fun and it made the day go by super fast.
Day 4 and 5 I will do at the end of next week, one day I will be taking orders, and the last day i will act as manager.
The best part about starting a new job is I got a ton of free stuff, gift cards, messenger bag, t-shirts, water bottle, business cards, and a zip up that is specifically for HR people, so i feel special.
I got my very first apartment, which is very exciting. It is a small cozy one bedroom where tom and I will be living. So excited to live with tom, I have been waiting for a long time for this. We are starting our lives together and I couldn't be happier. So all and all it has been great experience so far, and I am looking forward to getting better settled and to learn more about my job.
